I'm finally back!! I've been away so long because I was embarrased at my lack of motivation to getting back to running. Well, I had a really good yesterday so I'm back on track, baby!!

I can still hardly believe it. I WI yesterday with a loss of 3.1 lbs! This after a week of cheeseburger on Monday, gyro for lunch on Thursday, cheesecake factory for lunch on Friday, Arby's for lunch and cheese fries for dinner on Saturday, and another gyro and these greek honey doughnut things for dinner on Sunday. Yikes! But I guess it all worked out?

With that loss I finally made it into onderland and an new point ranger. Losing two points both scares and excites me! But I got my two points back yesterday because I actually dragged myself out to run. I ran almost an entire mile without stopping! I'm paying for it today with a bit of soreness, but I'll let my body rest and get back to it tomorrow.

There's no stopping me now, this DOES work!!

I've been slacking in my updates recently! Yikes! Work has been kind of crazy recently, so that's probably why..

Monday
Week 3 Couch to 5k (I re-did a day from last week since I had so much time off)
Top speed: 4.5
Total time: 30
Top running time: 3 minutes
Total mileage: 1.83

Tuesday
Week 4 Couch to 5k
Top speed: 4.2
Total time: 30
Top running time: .5 mile (somewhere between 6-7 minutes, I think)
Total mileage: 1.85

Since I've started running by distance versus time, and running longer I've cut back on trying to up my speed so much. Doing two .5 mile runs yesterday was pretty challenging, but I think I was fairly good at keeping my pace. Looks as though no running tonight, however, since we're having dinner with friends.

Just one more run tomorrow then before leaving for Disney on Saturday morning! Although I might get a run in or do some time on Jeff's parents elliptical since we're sleeping there overnight for our departure at 3am!!

I'm going to try to keep running while we are in Disney. It'll be a nice challenge since I'll be outdoors on the running path (1.5) miles at Old Key West. I figure I might as well keep running because there NO WW at Disney!! :)

Top running time: 3 minutes (I did 3 at 4.5, 90 walking, and another 3 at 4.5-- well attempted to. It kicked my butt!!)

Running kicked my butt yesterday. I think it was both 3 minutes at 4.5 that totally wiped me out. Tonight is a night off because we're meeting up with Jeff's parents to go to Sam's club for our upcoming trip down to Disney World. We need to stock up on water and snacks for the drive/trip. The bad part about this is that we're going to my favorite Mexican restaurant. Ugg, must. stay. on points. Especially because I'm going to be making sugar cookies towards the end of this week for a First Communion.

Things have been busy at work so I haven't updated in a few days! I ended up taking Thursday off for running because I was so incredibly exahusted. The sleepiness lasted through Saturday when I basically just lounged around all day and went to bed early. Also ate at Hoggies since I save up all my extra weekly points for Saturday for a nice meal out. I felt HORRIBLE afterwards and realized that my body is just no longer used to consuming BBQ Bacon Cheeseburgers and onion rings. We went because I was craving onion rings and I ate ONE! One and 3/4 of my burger and I was miserable!

I guess that newfound intolerance is a good thing!!

Ran Sunday morning and had a totally healthful breakfast out with some friends: an egg white omlette with veggies and a bit of cheese. It was totally yummy and I ran before breakfast and just felt great! Yay for feeling great with healthy eating an excercising!

I need to break out of this lunch Lean Cuisine rut. I just ate a Chicken Carbonara Lean Cuisine, and while it was good, I just don't feel good now that I ate it. I need to figure out lunches outside of the box of Lean Cuisines and salad. I'm just not feeling sandwiches at the moment, either.

Today was also WI for me. I maintained, which was a bit of a bummer, but its also my TOM, so I guess its better than gaining.

I start C25K W3 today!!

Week 2 of Couch to 5k started yesterday. I didn't think it would be quite as difficult as it was, but I pushed through it anyway! We had some treadmil hogging problems again and Jeff went outside to run, slipped on some loose gravel and really hurt his back so that was a bit of a downer for the night. Although we did have Nick and Theresa over for dinner, so that was nice. We had a nice healthy dinner of salad choc'full'o peppers, whole wheat pasta and our homemade sauce. Yummm!!

Monday

Top running time: 2.5 minutes!

How is that I increased my speed (marginally) and running time but I still got the same mileage? Oh well1!

I had my WI today: down 4.2lbs! Woo hoo! That more than makes up for my gain from the previous week. I was rather annoyed at when I logged in my loss and the WW online program said "Stop! You're losing weight too fast!" Bah, no consideration that between my horrible week and starting to run it was to be expected. Stupid programs :)

I bought some new running items over the weekend and I'm tres excited to wear them today for my 2nd week of Couch to 5k. I got a new Sugoi sports bra (they didn't have any Enell), a pretty Asics top that wicks away sweat and doesn't ride up when I move (wee!), a pair of C9 by Champion underwear (yeah, you know wicking undies are important when you're running) and a pair of wicking pants from TJ Maxx. I don't remember the brand, I just remember that they retailed at $50 and I got them for $13.50. Score!!

I also had an NSV over the weekend: We were going to be having dinner with Jeff's parents and were sent to pick up Chipotle. I was lamenting over the nutritional calculator that my normal burrito was waaay too many points, and in fact, just a burrito was a lot of points (there's a LOT in that tortilla alone!). Jeff said I should just get what I want and we'll start Monday really healthy again. That totally clicked with me for some reason and I realized that I want to be thin. A burrito isn't worth it. So I got a burrito bowl with lots of lettuce, no rice or cheese or guac -- all things I love but that I can do without. And I said no to dessert.

I think I've become my own fandom. :)

Yay, its Friday!!!

I had a horrible stomachache yesterday so running seemed a bit out of the question. I blame it on the Lean Cuisine panini I had for lunch since its the only food I ate yesterday that I don't normally consume. Rather disappointing because I really enjoy the paninis.

So instead of running I decided to go and at least walk. I was quite proud of myself; it would've been much easier to just lounge around on the couch but I was so disappointed at not being able to run (my last run for the week, I think) that I had to at least do something.

Thursday
Total time walking: 30 minutes
Top walking speed: 3.8 (this killed me because I wasn't feeling well!)
Total miles: 1.4

I'm still counting that mileage on my Running To Epcot challenge because it only because of illness that I didn't run.

I'm excited because we're headed to Chili's tonight for dinner with friends. Yay for restaurants with low-fat menu options!!

Oh and I had a NSV today: laundry day was yesterday so I was dreading putting on freshly washed jeans (you know how jeans always shrink when they get washed?) well I put them on today with NO tightness!! Rock on me!!

So this is my first entry in my running/weight loss journal.

After a horrid week post Easter/birthday week I'm hitting WW hardcore and I've recently started running. I want to get up to doing a 5k in August, so I'm doing the Couch to 5k program. We (my BF and I) randomly started running on Saturday due to his suggestion. Since then, with the exception of Sunday, we've run everyday. I have a feeling it will be a four day a week sort of thing since we're always out and about on Friday evenings/Saturday/Sunday.

My results so far:

Saturday:
Week 1 Couch to 5k
Top speed: 4.0 TM
Total time: 30 minutes
Top running time: 60 seconds
Total mileage: 1.75

Monday:
Week 1 Couch to 5k
Top speed: 4.1 TM
Total time: 30 minutes
Top running time: 60 seconds
Total mileage: 1.75

Tuesday
Week 1 Couch to 5k
Top speed: 4.1 TM
Total time: 30 minutes
Top running time: 90 seconds
Total mileage: 1.8

Wednesday
Week 1 Couch to 5k
Top speed: 4.1 TM
Total time: 15 minutes
Top running time: 90 seconds
(Apparently EVERYONE in my apartment works out on Wednesdays. Including Treadmill Hog guy. He wouldn't give up his TM even after the "20-30minutes during peak hours or when people are waiting" warning on the wall, so I gave my TM to Jeff).
Incline elliptical: 20 minutes for 1.25 miles + 5 minute cool down on the TM once TM Hog got off.
Total mileage: 2.4
